| As our foundations lie very much within the confines of traditional kiltmaking we would be blowing smoke if we said any fabric made a better kilt than wool. It's the look, the durability and the swing of a wool kilt that can't help but look good on any occasion. One of the first fabrics we used in the progression of 21st Century Kilts was Harris Tweed, beautiful and very much available at 21st Century Kilts. We have been weaving our own tweeds for several years now. Woven to the same high specifications yet with a tighter weave and a Teflon coating, we find our own Auld Reekie Tweed more comfortable and better for kilt making, with a Teflon coating this cloth is the most durable. The tweed has been popular to wear up a mountain to down the aisle.
